After his Masters degree in Computer Science in Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium, Olivier Cailloux has worked for several years on research projects at ULB before starting a PhD thesis at École Centrale Paris in 2010 under the supervision of Vincent Mousseau. His main interests lie in the Multiple Decision Aiding topic and more particularily the use of preference models to aid a group of decision makers.
Education
- 2005 – 2006 : 3rd cycle, Diplôme d’Études Approfondies en Sciences Appliquées: Multicriteria Decision Aid, at Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. Thesis : Analyse de donnés et aide multicritère à la décision (Data analysis and multicriteria decision aid).
- 1998 – 2003 : licence en informatique (equivalent to master) at Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
- Obtained with La Plus Grande Distinction (90%, equivalent to mention Très Bien in France).
- Granted with the Prix Solvay (industrial price) for the Thesis: « Le courrier électronique recommandé : définition et étude de protocoles ».
Professional experience
- Since 2009 : coordinator of the technical aspects of the Decision Deck project.
- Since 2008 : scientific collaborator of the 'informatique et d’ingénierie de la décision' service, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
- 2006 – 2010: research ingeneer on contrat (project TANIA), Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
- Data mining to help anaesthesiologists plan drug dosing during operation.
- Main role: set up of a platform to implement dosing strategies and communicate with medical tools.
- 2003 – 2006 : contractual researcher, programmer (project EVAL), Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
- Design and developement of a platform (in Java) implementing methods of multicriteria decision aid.
- Design and development of the Decision Deck project.

- Advanced programming in Java. System administration on Windows and especially Linux.
- I am most interested in links between Argumentation Theory and MCDA.
